chongwen tower is located in chongwen town, jing yang county, xianyang city, shaanxi province. it was built in the 19th year of wanli (1591) of the ming dynasty, with thirteen floors and a total height of 87.218 meters. it was designed according to the ancient architectural principle of the eight trigrams overhanging the top. the tower is one of the best-preserved brick pagodas in china, built entirely with green bricks from the bottom to the top.
